Alice Dixson has spent more than three decades on screen. Now she is taking on a new role as the face of Hongqi in the Philippines, as the luxury brand’s newest ambassador.
Hongqi, one of Asia’s historic luxury marques, has been rebuilding its presence with a mix of classic cues and modern design. Its current models carry the touch of renowned designer Giles Taylor, who once led design at Rolls-Royce. The result is a look and feel that leans on heritage but speaks to a new generation of premium car buyers.
Dixson says she was already paying attention to the brand, especially its push into electric vehicles and its message of personal choice.
“What drew me to Hongqi is how they challenge the norm and strive for excellence,” she shares. “Their line ‘I Decide What Drives Me’ reflects how each drive can express who you are. For me, it is passion and courage, and that is why I drive Hongqi.”
She adds that stepping into a Hongqi does not feel like a simple badge decision. As an actress, model, mom, and now Hongqi ambassador, Dixson says she looks for a mix of comfort, power, safety, and a sense of responsibility. She points out that Hongqi’s efforts toward sustainable mobility match her own shift in lifestyle.
Sustainability, she explains, has long been part of her choices, from how she lives at home to the way she travels. Electric vehicles have been on her radar for some time, and Hongqi was already on her shortlist.
“I had been considering an electric vehicle, and Hongqi was one of the brands that stood out,” she says. “Even before they contacted me, I had read about them and was impressed. They offered something premium but also aligned with my values. Being part of the Hongqi family now feels natural, and I am proud to support a brand that takes sustainability seriously.”
She hints that there is more to look forward to from this partnership, as Hongqi continues to introduce new vehicles and stories to the market.
Hongqi Philippines shares the same confidence in Dixson.
“Alice’s taste, sense of adventure, and values represent what Hongqi stands for,” says Rashid Delgado, Hongqi PH and EVOxTerra president and TDG co-CEO. “We are glad to have her as the face of Hongqi as the brand moves forward in the country.”
