Some 132 families were forced to evacuate their houses in three areas in Pampanga to ensure their safety as Typhoon Uwan looms.

According to the Provincial Government, some 52 families were evacuated in various areas in Lubao, while 12 families were evacuated in Sasmuan, and 68 families were evacuated from Bancal Pugad, Lubao.

Vice Governor Dennis Pineda said that the Provincial Government continues to act on the safety of the people, ensuring their safety especially during times of calamity.

He added that they conducted an inspection on the evacuation centers in Lubao (Sta. Catalina) and Mexico (San Roque).

The Provincial Government has also coordinated with the local government units for the preemptive evacuation in the towns of Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol, and Arayat

Pineda assured that these evacuation sites are stacked with supplies such as food, water, and equipment.

The Provincial Government is also working with the GSO in providing additional supplies such as jerry cans, sleeping mats, blankets and tents.

"Sa tulong ng malasakit at bayanihan, titiyakin ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan na walang Cabalen ang maiiwan," Pineda said.
