The state weather bureau announced that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 4 is now in effect over Catanduanes as Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong) moves closer to the Bicol Region on Sunday, 9 November.
According to PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration), areas under TCWS No. 4 can experience winds between 118 and 184 kilometers per hour.
The state weather bureau announced that it may cause a high to severe risk to life and property.
Pagasa added that as of 10 p.m., the center of Typhoon Uwan’s eye was located about 380 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
