The camp of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Saturday, 08 November 2025, denied rumors of an arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the lawmaker.

Dela Rosa’s legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, said they have not received any independent confirmation regarding the veracity of such reports.

“We have been made aware of circulating reports… At this point, we do not have independent confirmation as to whether or not this information is accurate,” he said.

The senator’s camp “urges the public and the media to exercise caution and restraint in sharing or interpreting such reports until verified information is officially released by competent authorities or by the ICC itself.”

Torreon emphasized that if the reports are confirmed to be true, the senator expects the Philippine government to handle the matter “in accordance with the rule of law,” adding that any potential action from international bodies should go through proper judicial processes as provided by the Philippine Constitution.

“If proven true, we trust that the Philippine government will act in accordance with the rule of law, and that any such action shall first pass through the proper local judicial confirmation process consistent with our Constitution, due process, and the sovereign rights of the Republic of the Philippines,” Torreon added.
