Two suspected high-value drug pushers were arrested by operatives of the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.
Police identified the suspects only as “Jo,” 59, and “Melvin,” 41. Authorities said the two are considered high-value individuals involved in illegal drug distribution in the area.
Recovered from the suspects were around 105 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P714,000, along with the marked buy-bust money. The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a separate operation, the Parañaque City Police arrested two motorcycle thieves identified as “Jimboy,” 23, and “Jobert,” 41, in Barangay San Dionisio.
Police said the suspects were caught after a 30-year-old man reported seeing his stolen motorcycle being used by the duo. Responding officers cornered the suspects while they were riding the stolen vehicle.
Recovered from the suspects was a loaded .38-caliber revolver. Both men are facing charges for carnapping and violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
