SM Investments Corporation (SM Investments), the holding company of the SM Group, has received the Platinum Award for Asia’s Best Materiality Reporting at the 11th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) held on 24 October at the Grand Hyatt Singapore.
The recognition highlights SM Investments’ commitment to transparency and accountability in disclosing how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors impact its operations and long-term value creation. The company’s 2024 Integrated Report was also named a finalist in the Asia’s Best Integrated Report (Large Company) category.
“We see sustainability as an ongoing journey of creating impact that endures. This recognition strengthens our resolve to remain transparent and accountable as we work to deliver meaningful value to our customers, partners, and communities across the country,” said Frederic C. DyBuncio, SM Investments President and Chief Executive Officer.
ASRA Founder Rajesh Chhabara, who also heads CSRWorks International, commended SM Investments for setting a benchmark in corporate disclosure, noting that its reporting framework reflects strong alignment between sustainability performance, stakeholder trust, and long-term value creation.
Organized by Singapore-based CSRWorks International, ASRA is recognized as Asia’s most respected platform for honoring excellence in sustainability reporting. This year’s awards brought together companies from 17 countries across multiple industries, evaluated through a rigorous multi-stage process that included peer reviews and reputation assessments.
