Globe Telecom, Inc. expects stronger investor confidence following its Five Golden Arrows recognition from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), saying enhanced market trust will support its long-term growth, access to capital, and continued leadership in digital and sustainability initiatives.
Now among the top-performing listed firms in the Philippines and ASEAN for the fourth consecutive year under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), the Ayala-backed firm said Wednesday the distinction reaffirms its robust governance framework that drives transparency, accountability, and long-term value creation.
Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said the award reflects the company’s deep-rooted governance culture shared across the Ayala Group.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the strong governance culture that flows from our major shareholders, Ayala Corporation and Singapore Telecom,” Cruz said.
Building on this foundation, Globe noted that its governance practices are now fully aligned with the updated ACGS based on the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, which set global standards for accountability, transparency, and sustainability—areas where the company continues to lead as it advances its digital and green initiatives.
