For the second straight time, Pasig City won the Batang Pinoy overall title after a week-long campaign in General Santos City last October.

With 97 golds, 72 silvers and 87 bronze medals, the Pasigueños, who leaned on gymnastics, jiu-jitsu and chess in this year's medal haul, dominated the annual grassroots competition organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and will receive a hefty reward of P 5 million.

"Just like the posts circulating on social media, good governance goes a long way. Our programs won't be sustainable if not for our city officials that believe in our vision and mission for Pasig Sports," Pasig City special assistant on sports development Leanne Alonso said.

Baguio City settled for second place anew after a 91-72-74 gold-silver-bronze medal tally.

Davao City came in third place with a 53-53-68 medal tally while Quezon City is in fourth place with 41-55-57.

Manila City sits in fifth place with a 43-37-42 medal tally.

The second-placed local government unit will take home P 4 million, P 3 million goes to the third-best LGU, P 2 million for the fourth place and P 1 million for the fifth place.
