Miss Universe Organization warns against unauthorized event

Jefferson Fernando

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has released an official statement addressing recent online posts promoting an alleged “Special Dinner & Talk Show” event that falsely uses the Miss Universe brand and imagery.

In its announcement, MUO clarified that the event is not authorized and has no connection to the official Miss Universe Organization or its affiliates.

Unauthorized use of the Miss Universe brand

“The Organization wishes to make it absolutely clear that this activity is not authorized,” the statement read.

MUO emphasized that any independent or third-party activity using the Miss Universe name, logo, trademarks, or related branding without prior written consent constitutes a violation of intellectual property rights and brand integrity.

Furthermore, the organization denounced ongoing online promotions, contests, or voting campaigns under the Miss Universe name—including those tied to the alleged “Special Dinner & Talk Show”—as unauthorized and misleading. MUO stated these activities do not represent the organization’s values, operations, or official events.

Firm stand on legal protection

MUO reaffirmed that it reserves all legal rights to pursue action against individuals, companies, or entities unlawfully using its brand. This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized use of the Miss Universe name, logo, imagery, and official event designations.

“As the global authority of the Miss Universe brand, MUO will continue to uphold the highest standards of transparency, professionalism, and integrity in every country where it operates,” the statement continued.

The organization assured the public that it remains committed to protecting delegates, partners, sponsors, and fans from any unauthorized or misleading activities that could damage the brand’s reputation.

For verified and official updates

MUO concluded its statement by reminding the public that all official communications, announcements, and voting initiatives are released exclusively through verified Miss Universe channels.

As one of the most prestigious international pageants in the world, the Miss Universe Organization reiterated its commitment to authenticity, credibility, and the empowerment of women—urging everyone to remain vigilant and rely only on verified sources for information.
