Maya has achieved a three-peat at the 2025 Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards, winning Best Digital Bank in the Philippines for the third consecutive year. The recognition, presented on 23 October 2025 at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, affirms Maya’s impact in “making banking simpler, more open, and more connected,” the company said in a statement.

The Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards, organized by The Digital Banker, serve as a global benchmark that recognizes retail banking institutions and leaders driving innovation, digital transformation, and customer-centric service. The awards celebrate organizations that leverage technology to reimagine banking experiences and create scalable, inclusive solutions amid a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

“This award affirms the power of an all-in-one fintech platform to drive both inclusion and growth,” said Shailesh Baidwan, President of Maya Group and Co-Founder of Maya Bank. “When you bring everything together in one trusted, intelligent platform, banking becomes simpler, fairer, and more human—helping people and businesses grow side by side.”

The award highlights Maya Bank’s success in expanding financial access while achieving profitability within just three years of operation. As of Q2 2025, Maya serves 8.2 million customers, more than double its base from the previous year. The bank also manages 2.1 million borrowers, over half of whom are first-time formal borrowers.

Maya currently handles P50 billion in deposits and P25 billion in outstanding loans, having disbursed P152 billion in total loans since its launch—underscoring its rapid growth and continued contribution to financial inclusion in the Philippines.
