Kathryn Bernardo didn’t let Halloween pass without throwing a party. On 31 October, she hosted a simple spooky celebration at Casa Bernardo for a select group of friends and her team.
Dressed as Princess Mia from The Princess Diaries, Bernardo’s celebrity guests included showbiz couple Sue Ramirez and Dominic Roque.
Bernardo posted several snaps on her Instagram account, showing her goofing around with her guests.
Rumors circulated that Bernardo’s rumored boyfriend, Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala, was also present at the Halloween party. However, he was spared from public scrutiny, as no photo of him surfaced online. Bernardo and Alcala likely requested guests not to take or post any photos of them together that night.
Coco Martin’s camp denies online gambling endorsement
CCM Film Production, through its official Facebook account, issued a public notice denying a video circulating online that appeared to show Coco Martin endorsing an online gambling app.
“A fake video is spreading online showing Coco Martin allegedly endorsing an online gambling site. This is not true. It’s a deepfake — digitally edited without his knowledge or consent,” the statement said.
“Coco Martin has never and will never endorse any online gambling platform. Please don’t share or believe such fake content. Legal action is being considered against those behind it,” it added.
Meanwhile, Martin showcased new action stunts as his character Tanggol single-handedly saved his father Ramon (Christopher de Leon) from death in the hit action-packed series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
One of the show’s directors, Richard Somes, shared how the team carefully planned the major action sequences to offer a fresh viewing experience. The intense rescue scene featured Tanggol and Ramon hanging from chains atop a high-rise building while engaging in a gunfight.
“’Yung challenge namin dito is how to come up with a new setup na magiging exciting para sa audience. Ang challenging dito, more than the action scenes mismo, is the execution ng stunts,” said director Richard in a behind-the-scenes video uploaded by CCM Film Productions.
Budding romance?
Claudine Barretto, it seems, has found new inspiration in Korina Sanchez’s younger brother, Milano Sanchez.
Barretto flauntingly posted on Instagram last 30 October a photo showing her and Sanchez in a sweet, affectionate pose.
In the photo, Barretto is standing while hugging Sanchez, who is seated with his palm covering his face.
“Can you really wait??? No matter how long??? No one will break me? Swear?” Barretto captioned the post, tagging Sanchez’s Instagram handle, @onalim_zehcnas.
Interestingly, Sanchez had posted the very same photo hours before Barretto shared it on her account.
“The courtship starts now,” Sanchez wrote, adding this promise: “No matter how long it takes, I will wait. No one will ever break you again.”
