SM Cares leads Pink October 2025 campaign for breast cancer awareness
SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its Pink October 2025 campaign, a series of mall activities nationwide promoting early detection and support for breast cancer survivors and advocates.
The campaign kicked off with the pink illumination of the SM Mall of Asia Globe and The Cube at SM Seaside City Cebu, symbolizing hope and solidarity for women and families affected by breast cancer.
Events at SM Seaside City Cebu and SM City Cebu included free breast exams, a Pink Cancer Chat, a Pink Fashion Runway, and a Pink Healing Mass, emphasizing physical and emotional well-being.
In Davao City, SM Cares partnered with local government, the Rotary Club of Downtown Davao, and advocacy group Breast Friends for a day of free screenings, health forums, a Pink Pop-Up Fair, and a Pink Runway and Zumba event featuring upcycled fashion by local designers.
“Through Pink October, SM Cares continues to stand with every woman, survivor, and advocate in the fight against breast cancer. We remain committed to promoting awareness, early detection, and support for the health and wellness of all women,” said Atty. Pearly Joan Jayagan Turley, SM Cares Program Director for Women and Breastfeeding Mothers.
The annual initiative highlights SM’s continued advocacy for women’s health and its effort to unite communities through causes that inspire compassion and awareness.
