The management of Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges (ABML) has officially refuted claims circulating online and in private circles that Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero owns property within the development.
In a statement, ABML management confirmed that while the residential village does not publicly release its list of homeowners for privacy and security, they were able to verify that no residence is listed under Escudero’s name or any associated company.
“ABML, like any other residential village in the country, does not divulge a list of its residents or homeowners. However, we are able to confirm that there is no home listed as owned by Sen. Chiz Escudero or any company associated with him,” the statement read.
An ABML official cited that while the senator and his family have visited the property, this should not be construed as ownership.
“We are aware that he and his family are occasional visitors to the property, as can be gleaned from numerous social media posts by various parties. Mrs. Escudero, being a long-time member of Alphaland Balesin Island Club, is allowed the privilege to use the facilities of ABML,” the official added.
Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges, located in Itogon, Benguet, is a luxury mountain residential development and a sister property to the Alphaland Balesin Island Club.
Escudero’s 2024 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) does not list any ownership or business interest related to Alphaland or real estate in Baguio or Benguet.
