The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Region 3 (LTFRB3) has conducted inspections and franchise verification at the Dau Bus Terminal in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, and Robinsons Starmills, San Fernando, Pampanga, on Thursday, 30 October.
According to LTFRB3 chief Police General Richard A. Albano, the bureau officially commenced Oplan Undas 2025 in Central Luzon, adding that the inspections are part of the nationwide initiative to ensure safe, comfortable, and orderly travel for commuters this Undas season.
This initiative is aligned with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., DOTr Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Lopez, and LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II to strengthen safety protocols and maintain efficient transportation service in all transport terminals nationwide.
"The Oplan Undas 2025 is carried out in close coordination with various government agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs), aiming to provide the highest quality of service to the traveling public during the expected surge of passengers for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day," he said.
He added that LTFRB3 remains steadfast in its mission to protect the welfare of commuters and uphold efficient, safe, and reliable public transportation across Central Luzon.
Several bus terminals are currently active in Central Luzon, handling increased passenger volumes due to the Undas holiday long weekend.
Some of the key terminals include Dau Bus Terminal in Mabalacat, Pampanga, and the Victory Liner and Saulog Transit terminals in Olongapo City, Zambales.
Traffic and terminal congestion are expected, as October 31 has been declared a special non-working holiday.
