Driver with loose firearm arrested in Bataan

A 54-year-old driver was arrested for having a loose firearm at Sitio Ulingan, Brgy. Banawang, Bagac, Bataan, on 30 October 2025.

Personnel from the Bagac Municipal Police Station implemented a Search Warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court of Bataan, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect is a resident of the said barangay and was arrested for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

Confiscated from his possession were one unit .38 caliber revolver, three pieces of live ammunition for the same, four pieces of live .22 caliber ammunition, and one live 12-gauge ammunition.

The suspect failed to present any pertinent documents to justify lawful possession of the said firearm and ammunition.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated items were brought to Bagac MPS while a charge for violation of R.A. 10591 is now being prepared against him.
