Buy-bust operation nets lady drug peddler in Mabalacat City

A buy-bust operations led to the arrest of a lady drug peddler at Barangay Dau of Mabalacat City, Pampanga, on Wednesday evening.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA3), the buy-bust operation led to the arrest of alias Ayka, a resident of Roxas Street, Barangay Dau.

Five plastic transparent sachets containing roughly five grams of suspected shabu valued at Php 34,000.00, one mobile phone, and the buy-bust money were confiscated from Ayka.

According to PDEA, the apprehended suspect had been under surveillance since September, and they tagged her as a regional-target drug personality.

Operatives from the PDEA RO3 Special Enforcement Team (RSET), the PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office, and the local police, jointly conducted the sting operation.

A non-bailable offense under section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 is now being readied for filing in court.
