Tahanan Party-list Representative Nathaniel Oducado personally visited Roxas City and the province of Capiz after Typhoon Ramil, immediately coordinating with the government to provide relief to affected residents.
Oducado, a native of Capiz, expressed deep concern over the hardships, particularly the urgent lack of clean water in Roxas City following the storm.
"To help address this, we sent a supply of water from Sapian, Capiz using my personal funds, to be distributed alongside DSWD’s relief goods," Oducado said.
The lawmaker immediately coordinated with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian to extend additional support to the victims.
Oducado extended his gratitude to DSWD Region 6 for their prompt response and to Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas for his hands-on assistance in ensuring the smooth distribution of relief goods. He also commended the Barangay Council of Barangay Bolo for their cooperation.
"In times of calamity, the unity and compassion of the people of Capiz remain our greatest strength," Oducado said.
