Almost 1,000 families recently benefited from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship housing program — the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) — the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said on Tuesday.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said certificates of entitlement and land awards were distributed to the new beneficiaries under various housing projects during the recently concluded National Housing Expo 2025.
He highlighted the distribution of certificates under presidential proclamations and Social Housing Finance Corporation’s (SHFC) Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP).
In total, 925 families from five homeowners associations benefited from newly approved ECMP projects, while 10 families received certificates of entitlement under two proclamations covering lots in Lucena City and Los Baños, Laguna.
“President Marcos has made it clear — we must bring safe, decent, and dignified housing to those who need it most, especially our poor kababayan,” Aliling said.
“Under the Expanded 4PH, families now have more options to choose from depending on their needs and capacity. Every Filipino who dreams of owning a home has a place in this program,” he added.
During last week’s National Housing Expo, beneficiary representatives formally received their certificates of entitlement and land awards.
“This gives peace of mind to families who have waited for decades for legal ownership of the land they’ve lived on,” Aliling said.
“The President’s goal is to give our people security of tenure and a sense of stability. That’s why we’re pushing forward with the Expanded 4PH to ensure that every Filipino can live a decent, affordable, and dignified life,” he added.
Since taking office, Aliling has revived the Community Mortgage Program (CMP) to fast-track the processing of certificates of entitlement and provide security of tenure to thousands of informal settler families.
