Kapuso heartthrob Dustin Yu is keeping it real when it comes to matters of the heart. Though he remains cautious about confirming his rumored relationship with actress Bianca de Vera, the rising star has made no secret of his admiration for his former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate — both as an actress and as a woman.
During the media launch of his newest endorsement, Aromagicare, held at Hype Club in Quezon City, Dustin shared how deeply he values Bianca’s character, describing her as “girlfriend material.”
“Si Bianca, nakilala ko na siya sa PBB, four months kami nasa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya and for me to say na pasok siya (girlfriend material), I really mean it,” Dustin said.
“Everything, lahat, promise. Very particular ako sa girl. At si Bianca, I would say, ang bait. May kakaiba talaga sa kanya as a woman. Kung paano siya mag-isip, paano siya mag-decide, parang kaya niya i-handle ‘yung mga bagay-bagay. At saka down-to-earth siya and laging nakikinig. She knows how to listen, di lang puro salita.”
No Labels, No Pressure
The two young stars have been inseparable since their PBB stint, sparking speculations of a budding romance. But Dustin insists they’re not in a rush to define things.
“Hindi naman kami nagpapadala sa pressure ng fans. Lagi ko rin nire-remind na happy lang, enjoy lang nila,” he explained. “Minsan lang kami magka-work, e, knowing na magkaiba kami ng network. So habang may chance pa, sana maging happy nalang yung mga tao na magkasama kami.”
Their closeness continues to grow as they gear up for their upcoming big-screen project, the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Love You So Bad, where they will star alongside Will Ashley. The pairing has already generated excitement from fans eager to see their chemistry unfold on screen.
Lover Boy at Heart
When asked about his own views on love, Dustin was refreshingly honest.
“Oo, lover boy kasi talaga ako,” he confessed. “Siguro may mga childhood trauma lahat na gusto mong ayusin in the future. Growing up middle child ako, so may longing… may gusto akong love na matanggap. So ngayon, yun yung binibigay ko naman kasi yun ang matagal ko nang hinihingi.”
He added that for him, love is something to be valued and given wholeheartedly:
“Ang gusto ko talaga, yung na-value ko talaga yung love, yung girl. Super all out ako. Minsan lang kasi ‘yan. Alam mo naman kung gaano kahirap maghanap ng taong susuportahan ka.”
New Face of Aromagicare
Aside from his blossoming showbiz career and love life, Dustin also achieved a new milestone as he was officially introduced as Aromagicare’s newest celebrity ambassador.
The contract signing and media conference were attended by Aromagicare founders April Martin and Pauline Publico, along with Sparkle GMA Artist Center executives Joy Marcelo, Anne Puno-Ignacio, Tracy Garcia, and Regal Entertainment’s Charlie Dy.

‘Destiny: The Dustin Yu Experience’
Capping off his banner year, Dustin is set to headline his first-ever fan meet concert, Destiny: The Dustin Yu Experience, organized by Aromagicare. The event will take place on December 4 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Tickets will be available in five tiers ranging from ₱1,200 to ₱5,200, with selling dates to be announced soon.
Aside from Love You So Bad, Dustin is also part of Secrets of Hotel 88 — a collaborative project between GMA Network and ABS-CBN, marking another exciting step in his growing career.
