Quick-thinking Baguio residents help nab thief in minutes

BAGUIO CITY — Thanks to the presence of mind and vigilance of residents, a thief was swiftly apprehended in Barangay Lower Quirino Hill, Baguio City.

At around 7 p.m. on 25 August 2025, a resident of a boarding house in Purok 1 spotted a man stealing from one of the units and immediately shouted for help, alerting others in the area.

Barangay officials, along with tanods and personnel from Baguio City Police Office Station 2, responded quickly and arrested the suspect.

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Lower Quirino commended the community for their alertness and cooperation in maintaining peace and order. Officials also reminded residents to remain vigilant, look out for one another, and promptly report any suspicious activity.
