Hard Rock Café Manila turned into a hub of celebration and nostalgia as pop-rock band InnerVoices launched their newest singles in an intimate press event.
The spotlight was on their first original Christmas song, “Pasko sa Ating Puso,” alongside fresh releases “Shadows,” “I Will Wait for You in the Rain,” and “Saksi ang mga Tala.” The evening was a testament to the band’s artistry and lasting impact on the OPM scene, coinciding with their recent victory in the Vibe.Ph music countdown.
“Pasko sa Ating Puso” captures the warmth and joy of the Filipino Christmas spirit. With tender harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, it paints a vivid picture of togetherness amid life’s challenges — a reminder that Christmas lives on in every Filipino heart.
“Music connects us most deeply during Christmas,” said vocalist Patrick Marcelino. “Through this song, we wanted to remind everyone that even when we’re apart, love and faith keep the season alive in our hearts.”
At the center of the event was the unveiling of InnerVoices’ new extended play (EP), Shadows, produced under UMG Philippines Inc. in partnership with Kalesa Entertainment. The EP features three emotionally charged tracks written by Atty. Rey Bergado and arranged by Edward Mitra.
“Shadows” is a haunting English ballad about heartbreak and lingering memories, while “Saksi ang mga Tala” is a modern kundiman where the stars serve as silent witnesses to eternal love. “I Will Wait for You in the Rain” stands as an anthem of patience and faith — an ode to enduring love through life’s storms.
“Each song in Shadows is a chapter of one story,” Bergado said. “It’s a trilogy of the heart — about pain, promise and hope. They belong together.”
InnerVoices continues to win over OPM listeners with music that is both soulful and cinematic. As of 20 October, the band topped Vibe TV’s “Uprising Universe” music countdown with their hit “Sayaw sa Ilalim ng Buwan,” while “Saksi ang mga Tala” remains among the most voted songs. Their other singles — “Meant to Be,” “Handa Na Kitang Mahalin,” “Galaw,” “Tubig Hangin Apoy Lupa” and “Idlip” — are also streaming on major digital platforms, showcasing the band’s evolving artistry.
The group is composed of Patrick Marcelino (vocals), Rene Tecson (lead guitar), Atty. Rey Bergado (keyboards), Alvin Herbon (bass guitar), Joseph Cruz (keyboards, vocals), and Joseph “Jojo” Esparrago (drums, percussion, vocals). Known for their authentic sound and passionate performances, InnerVoices continues to make waves in the Manila live music circuit, performing regularly at Hard Rock Café Makati, Hard Rock Café Manila, Bar IX, Aromata, and Noctos, where their pop-rock energy draws both loyal fans and new audiences.
Over the years, InnerVoices has earned numerous awards and recognitions for its contribution to OPM. They won Inspirational Song of the Year at the 16th PMPC Star Awards for Music for “Isasayaw Kita” and Best Revival Song of the Year at the 14th PMPC Star Awards for “Paano.”
They were also recognized with Best Performance by a New Group Recording Artists at the 28th Awit Awards and a nomination for Duo/Group Artist of the Year at the 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music. Other honors include nominations at the 1st WISHclusive Awards and Comeback Band of the Year at the Asia’s Triumphant Awards. These accolades affirm their enduring influence across generations.
With “Shadows” and “Pasko sa Ating Puso,” InnerVoices reaffirms its place as one of the most sincere and soulful acts in modern OPM. Their songs explore timeless themes of love, loss, hope and renewal, wrapped in melodies that resonate with both the heart and memory.
“After all these years, we still sing for the same reason,” Bergado reflected. “To move hearts, to heal souls, and to remind everyone that love, in all its forms, is always worth waiting for.”
