Tyla, the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum global sensation who made Billboard chart history with her debut album cycle, is back to captivate the world with her latest single, “Chanel.”
The new track and its accompanying music video arrived just as Tyla gears up for her first headlining tour across Asia next month.
Directed by Aerin Moreno, the music video is a masterclass in elegance — from fashion to choreography to its subtle thematic layers. Tyla delivers a playful yet powerful message: “You say you love me? Put me in Chanel.” The song celebrates women, centering their power while Tyla leads the charge with her signature style and charisma.
Tyla’s Amapiano roots, which propelled her to stardom, shine brightly in the track’s production courtesy of Ian Kirkpatrick & P2J, compelling fans to hit the dance floor in unison.
This release follows her debut mixtape, WWP, launched in July, which featured the hit collaboration with WizKid, “Dynamite,” amassing over 10 million YouTube views, and the summer anthem “Is It,” which garnered over 20 million views.
Tyla has also made waves on features, collaborating with Cardi B on “Nice Guy” and Ghanaian artist MOLIY on “Body Go.”
Next month, Tyla embarks on her Asian headlining tour, beginning in Tokyo on 11 November and continuing through Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Manila and Singapore, concluding 5 December. She will also appear at this year’s Global Citizen Festival in NYC alongside major acts like The Weeknd and Shakira.
Tyla’s influence continues to grow, having secured back-to-back MTV VMA wins for Best Afrobeats with her single “PUSH 2 START”, showing off her signature style in vintage Chanel layered with Pandora jewelry.
