More than half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu was seized from four suspects in a drug buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal, early Thursday morning.
Arrested in the operation were individuals identified only by the aliases Prince and Mary—both tagged as newly identified high-value individuals—and John and Jonathan—both classified as newly identified street-level individuals.
The four were apprehended in an operation conducted by operatives of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit at Lot 17, Blk. 3, Saint Matthew Street, Marvihills, Barangay Gulod Malaya, San Mateo.
Seized in the operation were fourteen heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 76 grams, valued at P516,800; one sachet containing a pink crystalline substance weighing about 0.7 grams, valued at P4,760; and another sachet weighing around 0.3 grams, valued at P2,040. A black belt bag was also recovered.
Other confiscated items included an elongated aluminum foil used as a runway, an aluminum foil used as a tooter, a yellow lighter with an attached burner, a green lighter, a digital weighing scale, two P100 bills as recovered money, and three P100 bills used as buy-bust money.
All four suspects are now detained at the San Mateo Municipal Police Station’s custodial facility and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
