President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed confidence on Thursday that key sectors of Philippine society remain supportive of his administration’s programs, even as he acknowledged the need for continuous work to meet the people’s needs.

Speaking to reporters at Malacañang, Marcos downplayed reported attempts by certain groups to urge the military to withdraw support.

He maintained that his administration still enjoys strong backing from critical institutions and influential sectors.

“Politics is a very variable, very volatile exercise,” Marcos said.

“What I can say is that we are confident that the important sectors of society, the power centers of society, and of the administration are very supportive still of the advocacies of the administration, the programs of the administration,” he added.

The President stressed that his administration remains focused on the national development agenda.

“We will continue to work very hard to make sure that we are doing what the people want. And that’s the most important thing,” said the President.

Marcos assured the public that the administration is actively engaged in dialogue with all stakeholders and stressed the government’s openness to address concerns raised by those with differing views.

“Whoever has any kind of grievance or complaints, and who might be thinking of saying that they no longer agree with the administration, we always go to them and ask: ‘What can we do to accommodate your advocacy?’” the President said.

Marcos reiterated his commitment to listen, respond, and act on the concerns of all sectors, citing unity, dialogue, and inclusive governance as cornerstones of his leadership approach.
