DepEd Bataan suspends face-to-face classes

The Department of Education (DepEd) School Division Office Bataan has suspended face-to-face classes in the province from 16 to 17 October to inspect school buildings and other educational facilities.

In the issued DepEd Memorandum No. 461 s. 2025, the Provincial Government will conduct a coordinated inspection of infrastructure, checking of structural integrity, and audit on all schools in Bataan on the said dates.

The suspension includes all public schools in Bataan from kinder up to senior high school, and will hold modular distance learning or online learning to ensure the continuous education of the students.

In regards to this, the SDO Balanga City has suspended face-to-face classes in Balanga City in all public schools from kinder to senior high school on October 16, and all public and private schools from kinder to senior high school will hold modular/online learning.

According to DepEd, these steps are conducted to ensure the structural safety of all facilities and ensure the safety and welfare of all students and school employees. DepEd urges all schools to ensure the organized implementation of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

The Provincial Government said that it supports the initiative for the safety and welfare of all students and teachers of the province.
