Regional high-value target caught in Bulacan buy-bust

After the arrest of a high value individual (HVI) regional level in Lubao, another HVI regional level was arrested during a buy-bust operation held at Barangay Minuyan Proper in the city of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on 11 October 2025.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan chief, the suspect was identified as alias Pepe, a 44-year-old resident of the said barangay. The operation, the chief added, also led to the confiscation of some P102,000-worth of illegal drugs.

The chief added that the suspect yielded more or less 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000.00, and the buy-bust money. He added that the arrested suspect is also included in the PNP top priority target.

The operation was conducted by joint operatives of PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit and Bulacan East Regional Intelligence Unit 3.

Charges for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) under Republic Act 9165 are now being readied for filing. Section 5 is a non-bailable offense which carries the penalty of life imprisonment and fine ranging from P500,000.00 to P10 million.
