Toyota Green Wave on high gear

Some 13,000 seedlings were planted on 4 October by volunteers in a mangrove site in Unisan, Quezon that was adopted by the Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) as the automakers kicks into high gear its “All Toyota Green Wave Project.”

TMP president Masando Hashimoto spearheaded the volunteers consisting of TMP team members, TMP Foundation officers, Toyota Lucena City employees, Department of Environment and Natural Resources representatives, local government officials, and members of people’s organization.

A coastal cleanup was also conducted at the Unisan Sands Resort, spearheaded by two-time Paralympic swimmer and Global Team Toyota athlete Ernie Gawilan.

Hashimoto said the Green Wave project commits TMP to planting one million trees by 2030.
