Gladys Reyes reflects on ‘Mara Clara’ days

Kapamilya actress Gladys Reyes got candid about her earnings during the ’90s hit series Mara Clara, where she starred alongside Judy Ann Santos.

“Kami ni Juday, naalala ko around P5,000 per episode, I think. Imagine mo, kami ’yung title role do’n pero ’yun ’yung suweldo,” she recalled.

Despite the modest pay, Gladys said the iconic teleserye transformed her career and life forever. “Kaya alam mo, hindi kami naka-ipon ng pambili ng sasakyan sa Mara Clara sa totoo lang,” she added with a laugh.
