Then plant flowers in the rubble.

Israel has lived like that for decades: grief beside devotion, terror beside wonder.

Yet, people insist, ‘We are here.’

In a land that everybody wants but ‘nobody owns,’ something clings to your chest too heavy to exhale. And too holy to let go.
