Globe and Khan Academy launch AI-powered learning support for teachers

Globe has teamed up with Khan Academy Philippines to make quality education more accessible through the GlobeOne app, aiming to benefit students and teachers nationwide, particularly in underserved areas.

The collaboration supports the Department of Education’s ongoing reforms in school digitalization, teacher assistance, and connectivity. Students can now access STEM, digital literacy, online safety, and life skills lessons aligned with the national curriculum, while teachers gain access to Khanmigo — an AI teaching assistant capable of working in multiple Philippine languages, including Tagalog, Cebuano, and Ilocano.

Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto said the initiative makes learning “inclusive, relevant, and within reach,” while Khan Academy Philippines President and CEO Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine described the partnership as “bayanihan in action” toward building a digitally empowered education system.

The program also includes Globe’s employee volunteer efforts to guide partner schools in using Khan Academy’s resources. Earlier this year, Globe, Khan Academy, and Ayala Foundation provided tablets, Wi-Fi, and learning tools to five schools under Globe’s G-Gantic Goals program.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to our valued partners, Globe and Khan Academy Philippines, for championing our digital transformation journey,” shared Education Secretary Sonny Angara. “By bridging our learners and educators to digital tools, we’re not just easing the learning process, we’re empowering dreams and shaping their future."
