Authorities in California have recovered around $30,000 worth of stolen Labubu dolls after serving a search warrant at a home in San Bernardino County.
The Chino Police Department said 14 boxes of the highly sought-after collectible toys were stolen from a warehouse over several days. Officers later tracked the items to a residence in Upland, where one suspect attempted to flee but surrendered without incident.
Investigators found all 14 boxes intact, along with evidence suggesting the dolls were being prepared for resale and nationwide shipment. The recovered items have since been returned to their rightful owners.
Police have not confirmed if the theft is connected to a separate incident last week in which about $7,000 worth of Labubus were stolen from a Los Angeles-area store. The toys, produced by Chinese retailer Pop Mart, are known for their “blind box” packaging and can sell for hundreds of dollars in rare editions, fueling high demand among collectors.
