Megaworld Hotels & Resorts has awarded the prestigious Sampaguita Woman of Substance title to newly crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma.
Hailing from Bacoor, Cavite, Barcoma also received ₱200,000 worth of stays across 13 Megaworld Hotels & Resorts properties in Metro Manila, Batangas, Boracay, Iloilo, and Mactan.
Barcoma bested 35 other candidates across the country and Filipino communities abroad to win the Miss Philippines Earth 2025 crown last Monday, August 11. She succeeded Miss Philippines Earth 2024 Irha Mel Alfeche, who passed on the crown during the coronation ceremony.
Barcoma will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2025, where she will champion environmental sustainability on the global stage.

As part of the pageant’s preliminary activities, Grand Westside Hotel hosted the reigning Miss Philippines Earth titleholders and the 36 official 2025 candidates for the Sampaguita Advocacy Appreciation—an event designed to deepen their understanding of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts’ signature brand of service.
They were welcomed by Go-Co, General Manager of Grand Westside Hotel Joe Fijardo, and General Manager of Kingsford Hotel Manila Jorold Montelibano. Go-Co also shared the story of how the sampaguita, the Philippines’ national flower, became a powerful symbol of the group’s hospitality philosophy.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts served as the official accommodation partner for Miss Philippines Earth 2025, hosting the candidates and reigning queens at Belmont Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, Kingsford Hotel Manila, and Savoy Hotel Manila.
