Kyle Echarri is shutting down speculation and setting the record straight: his relationship with Piolo Pascual is one built on genuine brotherhood, not controversy.
Speaking after the press conference for his upcoming film 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, Kyle addressed the public chatter about his close bond with the seasoned actor.
“Kapatid ko ’yan. He’s a brother, a best friend of mine. Whatever people think, sa kanila na ’yon. Kami, alam namin kung ano kami,” Kyle said with calm confidence. “I’ve been asked this so many times. I know who I am. He’s been a mentor to me for the past two years.”
The two forged their connection during a deeply personal moment in Kyle’s life—the loss of his sister.
“He came into my life at a very significant time. Ilan lang po ang nakakaalam sa pinagdadaanan ko noon. Isa siya sa mga tumulong sa akin, lalo na sa mga eksenang mahirap gawin dahil sa pinagdadaanan ko,” he shared.
Having worked together on several projects, Kyle and Piolo are now co-starring in a much-anticipated father-son action film—a project that’s been years in the making.
“Malapit niyo na mapanood. Finally, it’s happening,” Kyle teased.
As for his love life, the young actor isn’t rushing into anything.
“There’s always time for love, pero sa ngayon, I’m taking my time to build a relationship with myself, my inner peace, and the people I love,” he said.
Kyle’s latest film 100 Awit Para Kay Stella premieres September 10.
