WNBA players are demanding stronger arena security after sex toys were thrown onto the court during two Golden State Valkyries games in four days.
Friday’s game between the Valkyries and the Chicago Sky was briefly stopped in the third quarter after officials removed a neon-green sex toy near the basket.
On Tuesday, a similar incident occurred in the final minute of the Valkyries’ game against the Atlanta Dream.
"It's super disrespectful, I don't really get the point of it," said Chicago’s Elizabeth Sky.
"It's really immature. Whoever's doing it needs to grow up," Williams added.
New York Liberty’s Isabelle Harrison expressed frustration on Twitter: "ARENA SECURITY?! Hello??! Please do better. It's not funny. Never was funny. Throwing ANYTHING on the court is so dangerous."
