Dinalupihan, Bataan – A ₱61.27 million road reblocking project completed in this town is set to ease traffic along Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA).

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), its Bataan 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the 1.1-kilometer project, which stretches from Barangay San Ramon to Barangay Luakan (K0103+251 to K0104+261).

District Engineer Maribel Navarro cited that the rehabilitation covered a 14-meter-wide, four-lane roadway aimed at improving its condition and enhancing the travel experience for the motoring public.

“The newly improved pavement directly benefits residents and motorists who rely on JASA as a primary route to access schools, markets, government offices, and the Subic Bay Freeport Zone,” she added.

The project also included the removal of existing Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP), subgrade preparation, and concrete pouring with proper curing and jointing.

She also commended the district’s construction team for completing the project on schedule and in adherence to quality standards, and added that traffic management measures and alternative routes were implemented to minimize disruptions and delays during construction.

Funded under the 2024 national budget, the project has significantly improved travel conditions along the route, addressing long-standing issues such as potholes, vehicle damage, and traffic congestion in the area.
