For a Disneyland-themed children’s party, renowned event designer Gideon Hermosa recreated the theme park’s famous parade — complete with his own version of Disney princesses and mascots!
Such is among the past parties that Hermosa styled, shown as part of an audio-visual presentation for his 15th anniversary gala in Manila Marriott Hotel recently.
As part of the anniversary, Hermosa hosted his own Gideonized Masterclass, a first-of-its-kind event that featured a three-day intensive module where 100 creatives from across the Philippines gathered to be inspired by Hermosa’s creativity and climb to success, as well as how his company, the House of Hermosa (HOH), brings meaningful personal milestones to life.
Hermosa welcomed the graduates to look back at their work and witness the grandeur for themselves — the glamorously adorned ballroom enjoyed by 553 guests, including friends of the company, supplier partners from across 20 countries, and long-time clients like celebrities Yeng Constantino, Janeena Chan, Chris Quimbo and Alodia Gosiengfiao.
The celebration was an exquisite evening that brought attendees back to Hermosa’s own journey of becoming a visionary in the industry, how HoH came about, as well as the heartwarming stories of professional and personal triumphs.
Attendees were treated to lavish cocktails and dinner courtesy of catering company Juan Carlo, while live entertainment was provided by Morissette Amon, Geraldine Uy Dancers, Cardinia, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Santo Tomas Choir. Bringing the night to a close, the audience got to enjoy surprise drag performances by Brigiding, Zymba Ding and Bomba Ding.
“Filipinos are very talented. My goal from the very beginning is to elevate the industry. That’s why we’re trying to bring trends worldwide here in the Philippines, and then eventually create trends that will go global. That’s the goal,” Hermosa affirmed.
