The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and the Law Society of Singapore have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in legal education, professional development and cross-border exchange programs.
The agreement was formalized earlier this week during the ASEAN Bar Leaders Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
IBP National President and Law Society of Singapore President Lisa Sam Hui Min signed the MoU, which outlines key initiatives for strengthening the legal profession between the two organizations.
The IBP said the collaboration reflects a shared vision to promote mutual understanding, enhance legal practice and create opportunities for their respective members and cited that the agreement is part of its broader initiative to pursue international legal cooperation.
Meantime, the Law Society of Singapore is the organization representing all practicing lawyers in Singapore. Its mandate includes protecting and assisting its members, as well as maintaining the standards of conduct and learning within Singapore’s legal profession.
