The remains of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Leah Mosquera have been repatriated to the Philippines from Israel, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac confirmed on Wednesday, 23 July.
Mosquera was among the four when a missile struck their apartment on Bilu Street, where she lived with fellow caregivers. She was hospitalized for nearly a month and placed in a ventilator with oxygen support.
The DMW announced her passing last 13 July.
Cacdac also noted Fluss’s presence during the arrival of Mosquera’s remains
“Slain Israel OFW Leah Mosquera has returned home. We thank Israel Ambassador Ilan Fluss for the joining us at the airport reception of her remains, and for the assistance,” said Cacdac in a Facebook post.
In a statement, the DMW said Mosquera's remains will be brought to her family, but withheld location for privacy reasons.
