PHLPost to assist in relief operations

DT

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) under the Office of the President has also joined the disaster relief efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in providing trucks to carry relief goods to most of the affected areas hit by heavy rains and flooding.

PHLPost stands as a vital public utility in delivering communications and services especially when the public needs it most.

The Postal Service assures the public that essential postal operations remain ongoing despite the suspension of work in several areas.

Recognizing the significant role of communications during emergencies, PHLPost continues to facilitate the delivery of important documents, relief-related correspondence, and government communications wherever safely possible.

PHLPost’s Central Mail Exchange Center remains fully operational with disaster protocols in place. Postal operations continue in unaffected areas, while teams on the ground monitor weather conditions to resume suspended services as soon as feasible.

PHLPost also emphasized the safety of its letter carriers and personnel. Operations are guided by strict safety standards and coordination with local disaster response offices to protect both its workers and the mail entrusted to them.
