Knee-deep flood hits Barangay Tonsuya in Malabon

Knee-deep flooding was reported in parts of Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon City, as of 1 p.m. Monday due to continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, local authorities said.

The Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said several areas across the city continue to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, with intermittent intense downpours raising risks of flooding and landslides.

Authorities urged motorists and residents to remain vigilant as flood levels vary across barangays.

Roads not passable to light vehicles (NPLV):

• Brgy. Catmon – Sitio 6: 10 inches

• Brgy. Dampalit – Rodriguez 1

• Brgy. Panghulo – Panghulo Rd: 10 inches

• Brgy. San Agustin – multiple areas up to 10 inches

• Brgy. Tañong – Malabon Central Market

• Brgy. Maysilo – M.H. Del Pilar: 10 inches

Roads passable to all types of vehicles (PLV):

• Selected streets in Baritan, Catmon, Concepcion, Dampalit, Flores, Hulong Duhat, Muzon, San Agustin, Tañong, and Tonsuya remain passable, with flood levels ranging from 4 to 8 inches.
