Flooding hits 54 barangays in Pampanga

City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Parts of 54 barangays in this province experienced flooding during Tropical Storm Crising, as well as from rainfall brought about by the southwest monsoon.

According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), 16 barangays in Masantol, 16 in Macabebe, 13 in Minalin, five in Sasmuan, two in Apalit, and one each in San Simon and this city experienced flooding.

The PDRRMO also reported that a portion of the Sta. Lucia Road in Masantol and some barangay roads in Sta. Catalina, San Francisco 1, and San Francisco 2 in Minalin are under floodwater, making these areas impassable to light vehicles.

In the town of Porac, authorities reported a landslide in Hacienda Dolores.

The PDRRMO is continuously monitoring these areas and is currently coordinating with the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) to ensure the safety of residents.
