MARIVELES, Bataan — Three fishermen were rescued early Sunday morning after their boat capsized off the coast of this town.

Barangay captain Dante Malimban, who led the rescue, along with the Philippine Coast Guard and the PNP Maritime Group, said they immediately responded after receiving reports of the capsized vessel.

“With our swift action, we were able to rescue the three fishermen safe and alive,” Malimban said.

Meanwhile, Bataan Provincial Police Office (PPO) directress Col. Marites A. Salvadora said the province’s police force remains on full alert amid the effects of tropical storm "Crising."

To ensure preparedness, the PPO conducted an inventory of search and rescue equipment under the Disaster Response Capability Assessment Tool at Camp Tolentino in Balanga City.

“This initiative guarantees the readiness of both our personnel and equipment for immediate deployment in case of emergencies,” Salvadora said.
