The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested Metro Manila’s second most wanted person for murder during a cyber-enabled entrapment operation conducted Saturday morning in Twin Lakes, Nasugbu, Batangas.
The suspect, a 33-year-old construction worker and resident of Barangay Wawa, Nasugbu, had evaded authorities for years by using multiple fictitious identities online.
However, through social media analysis, NCRPO's cyber patrol and tracker teams were able to identify the suspect and trace his location despite his efforts to hide his real identity.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the Malabon City Regional Trial Court Branch 170 for the crime of murder, with no bail recommended.
The suspect is currently detained at the NCRPO custodial facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, pending the release of a commitment order from the court.
