'Harry Potter' TV series begins production

HBO Original’s Harry Potter TV Series has officially began its production at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, United Kingdom. 

Joining Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter is Alastair Stout as Ronald Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.

The young cast, who were recently spotted filming at London Zoo, will be receiving education in a purpose-built school on the set. The Independent reported that Warner Bros. has successfully applied for permission from the Three Rivers District Council to use portable buildings as a school for the next eight to 10 years for the trio, including the young extras.

The upcoming series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV and David Heyman of Heyday Films.

Harry Potter TV Series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
