Actor John Lloyd Cruz is now into walking his pet dog. At about 8 p.m. last Thursday, he posted two pictures of him on his Instagram (@johnlloydcruz83) with dogs. A fourth shot is actually a short video of a little brownish dog sitting by the window of a moving car — presumably with the actor on the wheel.
All four snaps have only one caption: “Dumadami ata ang mga kaibigan ko dahil sa [happy dog emoji].”
The first and third pictures must have been taken on the same day as Cruz is wearing the same shirt. In the first pic, he was talking to two uniformed women who seem to be part of a household staff in a posh subdivision with smooth asphalt roads, and grassy sidewalks.
The third photo has the actor sitting on the grass with a guy. Only Cruz had a dog with him.
The second picture is a man in black shirt and pants but with his back facing the camera while holding a black dog on a leash. They were walking in a basement car park. The black dog looks like the one in the first photo. He did not name the person who took the shots.
Last April, the actor posted a photo of him with a leashed black dog and an unnamed woman with a leashed brown dog. They were on an unidentified lake.
Nice to know that Cruz loves dogs! For all we know, he has other animal pets he has yet to reveal to the public. After all, he remains to be a very private person despite his decision to maintain an Instagram account. He actually posts rarely, not even regularly once a month. There are long gaps in his postings.

Cruz’s former screen sweetheart Bea Alonzo has proclaimed herself in a longish interview as being in a “serene place” but did not mention anything about her already known — and documented with authentic photos — her closeness with business mogul Vincent Co. She is 37 years old and he is 45, well known to be single and hardly known for getting into amorous affairs.
Alonzo actually did not mention Co at all in the long interview she gave to beauty doctor Aivee Teo for the latter’s vlog. The conversation was posted on Teo’s YouTube channel on 16 July.
The actress spoke about how much she has evolved in the past year and how she has enjoyed this shift in her life.
“I enjoy different things now compared to what I used to enjoy before,” Alonzo said, referring to her juggling hats as an actress and entrepreneur and maintainer of a house in the Philippines and in Spain.
Teo stressed how Alonzo is in “such a good place” and that she carries a lighter aura than last year — a sentiment the actress agreed to.
“It’s calmer this year, I think. Last year, I really allowed myself to get to know myself even better,” she affirmed.
Alonzo proceeded to share how she learned to be kinder to herself and to honor her wayward feelings and reactions to circumstances she got in the past. She also confided that she stopped engaging with social media last year to focus on herself.
“I realized that it’s okay to make mistakes… Last year, I realized that we’re just humans and we can make mistakes,” she calmly asserted.
“Right now, I’m being kinder and more lenient, forgiving when it comes to myself. [I just tell myself], ‘That’s life. You have to move on. Learn from it, and hopefully not make another mistake,’” she stated, although she clarified she has no regrets over her past decisions as they “felt right” at the time.
Alonzo also admitted during the interview that she still has something she wants to attain in her personal life.
“We all know what that is,” she teased. She chose not to expound on it.
When asked how she would describe the current phase in her life, Alonzo reiterated, “I guess I’m just calm. I’m in a serene place, and I’m okay… Sometimes, being calm means being happy.”
Alonzo previously described 2024 as the “hardest year” of her life. It can be recalled that her engagement with actor Dominic Roque was cancelled that year. At first, it was assumed that it was Alonzo who called it off. Later, she revealed in passing in some media interviews that it was Roque who requested severance.
