The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced Thursday it has issued a show cause order to ride-hailing company InDrive after one of its drivers allegedly threatened passengers with a bladed weapon.
LTFRB chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III said the order was issued on 15 July 2025. InDrive is being summoned to explain why its accreditation should not be suspended or canceled following a complaint posted on social media.
InDrive has 10 days from receipt of the order to file a written answer and is directed to attend a hearing on 31 July 2025.
Guadiz warned that InDrive’s failure to appear or file an answer will be considered a waiver of their right to be heard and will result in a P5,000 penalty.
He added that the “life-threatening incident” is prompting the LTFRB to study potentially imposing more stringent requirements and qualifications for drivers of transport network companies.
