DAVAO CITY — Second District Representative Omar Duterte took time to grace the 122nd Araw ng Tigatto last 15 July as various purok representatives proudly showcased their own versions of traditional Bangsamoro delicacies as part of their celebration.
During the celebration, Omar, son of First District Congressman Paolo Duterte, encouraged his fellow Muslim brothers and sisters to continue preserving their heritage through food and tradition.
“These traditions are treasures that must be passed on to future generations. We must also ensure that the future generation appreciates these delicious cuisines,” Duterte said.
The celebration brought together members of the community showcasing the rich culinary traditions of the Bangsamoro people, offering Tigatto residents and guests a taste of authentic Moro flavors passed down through generations.
Authentic Moro flavors saw amik, panyalam, dodol and other native favorites presented in a lively and colorful delicacy.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the enduring strength of Bangsamoro identity and unity in Davao City.
