Several towns in Batangas suspended classes on Tuesday, 15 July, due to a scheduled power service interruption.
In Balete, classes were suspended at all levels in both public and private schools, with the exception of Solis Elementary School, which continued operations. In Lemery and Taal, public and private schools suspended classes from kindergarten to Grade 12. San Luis also called off classes at all levels in both public and private institutions.
In Agoncillo, local authorities implemented a shortened class schedule for all levels, with students dismissed by 11:30 a.m.
The affected local government units advised residents and students to remain alert for further announcements as the scheduled outage proceeded.
