Dance students stage special showcase

Student majoring dance are set to captivate the audience with a special show, Borders: BPAD in Motion, which spotlights the expressive range and physical nuance of solos, duos and trios. The 90-minute public performance is set to highlight the term-end works of aspiring young artists from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), under the School of Arts, Culture and Performance Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance (BPAD).

Directed and choreographed by Dance Program chairperson and former Ballet Philippines (BP) soloist Nina Anonas, it is an invitation to an immersive and emotionally resonant experience for those who will watch in close proximity with the dancers.

Other featured choreographers include former BP principal dancer Christine Crame, DLS-CSB faculty Miriam Madamba, JJZA Media Production Services senior associate Regine Tinoy, as well as Benilde Experimental Dance artistic director and dance coach Mycs Villoso.

Borders: BPAD in Motion is co-produced by ḢA.MÜ. This one-day show will present movement studies by BPAD students, specially selected from their explorations in composition classes. It will be staged at the sixth-floor Black Box Theater of Benilde Design + Arts Campus on 29 July at 6 p.m. It is open to the general public. Tickets are available at P200.
