The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to begin printing field test ballots for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections on Monday.
The printing will take place at the National Printing Office Facility in Quezon City.
It will commence after the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for printing services, scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Chairman’s Hall, Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.
A total of 160 ballots will be printed, exclusively for an upcoming field test in BARMM this July.
Comelec clarified that these ballots will not include the names of actual candidates or political parties for the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections, as they are solely for simulation and testing purposes.
The poll body said that the field test aims to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of the electoral rules, procedures, and automated election systems planned for deployment in BARMM.
The BARMM Parliamentary Elections are scheduled for 13 October 2025.
